LONDON, 18 February 2025 - Napier AI, the London-based financial crime compliance RegTech, is pleased to announce the establishment of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Belfast, a new high performing technology hub, in Northern Ireland as part of its ongoing investment in technology research and development (R&D).
After a significant investment from Marlin Investors to accelerate Napier AI’s growth journey, the new CoE will tap into Belfast’s growing position as a European technology hub, on top of its existing CoE in Kuala Lumpur. The new Napier AI Belfast Centre of Excellence will:
- be home to a diverse and skilled talent pool, providing opportunity for Napier AI to build a high-performing technical team;
- be central to continued development of Napier AI’s NextGen, AI-first, financial crime compliance platform;
- grow as home to more than 100 Napier AI employees by 2026.
Welcoming the investment, Minister for the Economy, Caoimhe Archibald said: “Napier AI’s decision to establish a base in the north is a vote of confidence in our skilled workforce and thriving fintech ecosystem. AI and machine learning are transforming financial crime prevention, and this investment enhances the north’s reputation as an emerging centre for AI-driven fintech innovation.
“Invest NI has worked closely with Napier AI to secure this significant investment, which will create 106 high-quality jobs with average salaries of over £46,000. These roles provide excellent opportunities for local talent, while hybrid working arrangements will help ensure greater regional balance and accessibility.”
